Becoming a parent is one of the most amazing things in the world! I realized soon after my first was born, that I wanted to capture every little detail, every little moment. All of the little things:) Looking back at his photos, I cannot believe my now 6ft tall son was so tiny in in his dad’s arms, how his little toes fit into the palm of my hand, how huge his crib seemed compared to him. It's those small, simple details I wanted to remember and still love to go back to, through photos. Lifestyle newborn photography is able to document these precious little moments and special memories.

My lifestyle newborn sessions are simple, natural and focus on the new connection between you and your new little one. My goal is to capture memories that you will treasure ‘for always’, with photos that will remain timeless. I love everything about lifestyle newborn sessions and being able to give you memories of those first few (often blurry) days and document those sweet little details and to tell the love story of your new family!

Having the session take place in your home also creates absolutely unique images and personalized memories! During the 3-4 hour session, I will take photos throughout your home, using my favourite newborn props (the new parents/siblings!) to capture the real life, real love between you and your adorable new little bundle. I will also do natural posing with items throughout your home. (Special quilts/stuffed animals are always great to include!)

Choosing a newborn photographer and style of photography can be a huge decision! There are many different types of beautiful newborn photography, and when deciding what you want for your session it is important to think about the photos you are drawn to… the ones that might make your heart smile:) If you love a lot of props in your images (bowls, backdrops, baskets, branches, various hats/headbands, wraps, etc.) I am probably not the photographer you should choose to capture your newborn memories, but I am more than happy to recommend some amazing photographers who specialize in that style of newborn photography!

If you think I am the right fit for your newborn photos… here are a few things to think about when booking a session!

• Typical newborn sessions are usually done between 5-14 days. That doesn’t mean older newborns cannot be photographed, just may not be as sleepy as they were a few weeks beforehand:) All sessions take place at your home and last 3-4 hours.
• Please book your Lindsay Winter Photography newborn session a few months in advance to secure a spot. I have a small number of newborns spots available per month.
